Hi, my name is Kerry Adkins and I am the president of Adkins OnTime Electric. Thank you for your interest in our company, let me tell you a little more about us. We were founded in 1975 by my father George Adkins. The original name was Adkins Electrical Service. I joined the business in 1983 as an apprentice. My brother Scott came on board in 1986, and my wife Carol is also part of the team. So as you can see we are family oriented business. Our offices are in Homewood where they have been since 1997.
When my father started the business our focus was on commercial and residential new construction. We have wired hundreds of new homes in Jefferson and Shelby County, as well as many commercial projects since 1975.
In 2005 we began providing home electrical service and repair along with new construction. We changed the name to Adkins OnTime Electric to reflect our commitment to keeping our appointments and customer service.
We are a member of Electricians Success International (ESI) which is an association of the top 5% of electrical contractors in the United States and Canada. Our team members have received rewards and recognition from ESI for their performance. I am very fortunate to have great team members that have a heart for service and believe in what we do. Some of our team members have been with us for over a decade.
We are members of the Better Business Bureau, Homewood Chamber of Commerce, Vestavia Chamber of Commerce, Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce, Hoover Chamber of Commerce, National Fire Protection Association and the Greater Birmingham Association of Homebuilders. We are dedicated to becoming the best electrical service provider in Alabama.
I run our business based on Christian principles and ethics. We are honest and upfront with everything we do, that is why we quote all jobs before we start and offer a 100% satisfaction guaranty. I’m not saying that we are perfect, we’re not, but we make every effort to correct our mistakes. I believe that it is possible to run our business in a way that creates a win, win, win situation. That is, our client wins by receiving outstanding service and value, our team member wins by earning a good wage and having positive work environment and finally our company wins by earning a profit for our effort which allows us to grow and provide more opportunity.
If you need any electrical service or repair work in your home I hope you will give us a try. I guarantee that we will make every effort to provide you with the highest level of service and if you’re not pleased with what we do it’s free. Thanks again for your consideration.
